To create the ultimate approach shoe, we combined the best of Salomon's X Alp line and trail running technologies. X ALP SPRY GTX® is light and cushioned enough for fast hikes and stable enough for more technical terrain. A full Gore-Tex® membrane ensures comfort in any weather condition, and they even pack down so you can stash them in your backpack.
Dynamic comfort
We've combined a soft, cushioned EVA midsole with a more rigid torsion shank, for all-day comfort and stability.
Light and packable
The upper of the X ALP SPRY is light and flexible, making it easy to stash into a pack or hang on your harness.
Grip
This shoe has a hybrid outsole for outstanding grip on all surfaces. A rubber approach outsole on the front of the shoe provides maximum contact with rock, while trail running lugs at the rear optimize traction on looser or mixed terrain.
