200–400 lumens: For basic outdoor activities and camping

500–1000 lumens: For running and skiing

When the pace picks up, you need more light and a wider beam. A well-fitting headlamp with an adjustable beam is perfect for running and skiing. You’ll see better ahead and to the sides, making movement safer and more enjoyable.

Over 1000 lumens: For demanding activities

Special tip: RGB lights for dog walks

When walking your dog, it’s a good idea to choose a lamp with a colored (e.g., red or green) light. White light can dazzle your dog, but colored light is gentler for your pet and still improves visibility. A comfortable and easy-to-use lamp makes shared walks even more enjoyable.
