Foot pocket version. The foot pocket forms one body with the blade, transmitting to it the full stroke effort, while retaining all the necessary comfort requirements.
The IDEA3`s variable geometry, gives a
concave shape during the down-stroke,
producing a ``scoop`` effect. The water is trapped and channelled, maximising
propulsive thrust and preventing lateral side-slipping of the fin.
During the negative recovery action of the up-stroke the end of the blade, which is very flexible, is free to bend and so reduces its surface and the effort required.
