Patagonia, an American company specializing in eco-friendly textiles, initially focused on fishing-related fabrics.

By 2010, 76% of Patagonia's textile materials were made from recycled materials.

Each year, the company supplies tons of synthetic textiles to Japan for reprocessing and production of new nylon and polyester materials.

Wool and organic cotton materials are mechanically processed in Italy. These materials are shredded into fibers, which are then used to create recycled cotton and wool materials.

Patagonia has successfully addressed many challenges in material recycling.

In addition to their materials, Patagonia is committed to environmental care, including donating one percent of their annual revenue to the "1% for the Planet" program, funding environmental initiatives, and contributing to the establishment of Patagonia National Park.

In September 2022, Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard announced he would donate all the company’s shares to a foundation that directs the company’s profits towards combating climate change.
