I just received my jacket. Very nice jacket. You can see the quality of the products used. And the finish is very good. Pleasant to wear, you feel safe. I'm waiting for the cold to wear it. But I have no doubts.

The zipper is not the best possible, otherwise a good jacket.

This is an amazing jacket. I regularly am in below 0°F with winds up to 50mph. This jacket cuts the wind, the collar is wide so it actually fits around your neck and chin when zipped all the up. Extremely warm jacket with well places pit zips for ventilation when active. I have a 44in chest and purchased a large. Fits perfectly with the ability to wear some layers underneath. Jacket seems to be built of strong materials. My only complaint is the front zipper. It's a little bit small, but it still works great. Wish they would have used a #8 zipper instead of a #5. Overall, would absolutely purchase again.

The product's zipper is in very poor condition. The seam of the zipper had already started to unravel when the product arrived. We have been in contact with this and the customer service has been smooth.

Top Carinthia quality, in a league of its own. Quite expensive for that. The only real point of criticism is the zipper. Doesn't work perfectly and is fiddly. Let's see how long it lasts. Otherwise, Carinthia is really impressive. Fit, functionality and workmanship are absolutely top notch!

There haven't been any frosts yet, but the jacket has been worn at sea and in one of the training sessions over the weekend as a break jacket. The jacket keeps wind and water reasonably well. The collar comes up high enough and the hood can be adjusted excellently, even out of the way when you don't wear it on your head. I compare this to Leka's frost jacket and the durability of the outer fabric is in a class of its own. Resists sparks and wear on a completely different level than a comparable jacket. For the gusset work, you still need to use a seamstress to get the velcro soles in the right places, but otherwise I think it will pass through the "major sieve". The downside is of course the price, but I'm happy to pay for the quality. I purposely took one size bigger, so that you can put enough layers underneath, but with adjustments you can make the jacket fit well even when loose. I myself have experience with several Carinthia jacket models and the quality has remained high and the details are thoughtful and functional.
