Product description

The Aether Plus 85 blazes the trail for those in search of a customizable, perfect-fitting pack. One of Ospreys largest volume packs with a stronger LightWire frame, this pack offers a stable carry that can manage the heaviest of loads. Dial in the perfect fit with a Custom Fit-On-The-Fly Hipbelt and Shoulder Strap and detach the top lid to use as a daypack for side trips. Constructed with high quality bluesign-approved high-tenacity nylon and PFC-free DWR.

A Custom Fit-on-the-Fly Hipbelt, Custom Fit-on-the-Fly Shoulder Strap and adjustable torso length allow for a fine-tuned fit for a variety of body shapes and sizes. Good size and enough pockets. It's good that the chest can be opened from the front and bottom. The back was better for me in this than in women's breasts.

Perfect backpack! Enough room to pack everything you would need. The comfort of wearing it is superb! And the quality of materials is above average.

Rinkka seems very efficient. There are plenty of adjustments and at least enough storage space. I tested several ring models and this one fits my back like it was made for it! Despite the versatility, the weight of the empty tire has remained reasonable. I bought it for the summer and I can't wait to go on a trip with it!

Aether plus is my no 1 rucksack. I have found out that I prefer it over the military products like Tasmanian Tiger, Eberlestock or even Kifaru. Aether plus is light, fits a lot, when it's fully packed, it's comfortable. If not using the water pladders, the fast meshed pockets are good to grab a water bottle without taking ruck off.

Good, functional adjustments and zippers. Comfortable to wear. The top flap can be removed for a daypack. The daypack is not big, but it can fit, for example, a thin jacket, a light Camping Kitchen and snacks.

Good rucksack in all respects, Osprey's liters feel quite small in a backpack than in a backpack, so I would buy a slightly more spacious one. The mesh pocket on the side of the ring tore on the second or third hike, although it was my own fault.

Great pack, really happy with the purchase and with Varuste.net’s quick dispatch. For someone who likes to set up camp and go further with a daypack, I found the day pack much better than others, and with the 3L water reservoir transferable this was a great feature. With ~10kgs in the day-pack including emergency supplies, it handled surprisingly well, but if carrying 10-15kgs, I would love it if Osprey included a basic hip sash/belt for the day pack too. I expect most people will carry much less though! The pack overall was comfortable (even with 35 kgs, on a hot day and with a big ascent): it sit well and the weight distribution was optimal and very customisable. I am only 176cms and in the ‘in between’ range between the S/M and L/XL based on Osprey’s measurements and recommendations, but opted for the L/XL and found that to be fine. The accessibility and features of this pack make it excellent for a multi-day hike and helps keep everything nicely organised. I am looking forward to taking it on my next adventure. Varustelista retkelle

How to choose a backpack

A good backpack fits well at the user’s back and its features meet the purpose planned for it. There are many kinds of backpacks with different adjustment features, and that is great: every user is different, and they make many kinds of trips in their free time. Anatomical ...
