Timeless and versatile – a mid-cut double-stitched boot with a soft, padded cuff for mountain hiking, work and leisure use.
The lightweight, versatile Grünten Lady is a hard-wearing boot built for the mountains, but still fit for comfortable everyday use. Its mid-cut double-stitched leather upper provides good freedom of movement plus protection for the ankle. And its padded cuff adds a further layer of comfort. The sturdy Vibram® Guffert sole ensures good grip and stability and helps prevent slipping in rugged terrain. And should it ever wear out, it can be easily resoled.
Fantastic shoes! Already have a pair and bought another pair, a little bigger, to be able to wear double socks in the winter. Use these both autumn, winter and spring.

For me the best hiking shoes ever. The leather can withstand a lot and is much easier to keep waterproof than any Goretex shoe. In addition, the shoe can be easily retreaded thanks to the double-stitched sole.

This is my second pair of Hanwag Grunten Boots. My first pair are 7 years old, well worn and still in great shape! I bought a second pair to alternate between the two because I love them and want to wear them for the rest of my life. I am from Canada and could not find them here or the USA so I went all the way to Finland to find them. Thank you Varuste for shipping to Canada!

What is the width of the shoe in cm? What foot length in cm corresponds to the sizes indicated? Should we choose a 1/2, 1 or 1 and 1/2 or 2 sizes above to be able to slip a shock absorbing sole of 2cm thick heel?
