Product description

The Santi heated gloves are designed as a part of the complex heating system consisting of the gloves, thermo valve/connector and an external battery canister. This configuration allows a diver to wear the gloves under the dry gloves and use them in line with a heating vest or heated undersuit, without an additional valve/bulkhead, or dangers associated with internal batteries. The heated gloves can also be used as a stand alone system using cables provided.

Santi's heated gloves are a must for winter diving, if you plan to manage without gloves in almost 0-degree water. However, there are problems, in order of importance: 1) The cord entering the glove is easily damaged. If the cord is still inside the thermal suit, then it will be sent to Poland to Santi's (warranty) service. This usually takes 1-2 months. 2) Connecting the glove cord to the glove is not easy with one hand, because often that connector is quite tight. It would be much easier to connect the glove to the cord if the cord was a little longer. In this case, you could connect the cord with two hands and only after connecting put the glove on your hand. The difficulty of fastening may cause that failure. If that wiring was a little better, it would get five stars.

The gloves make long cold water dives much more tolerable. However, my right glove stopped heating after about 75 dives and just after the one year warranty expired. I ordered a second pair and hope that the gloves last longer this time.
