Author Mårten Ajne spends 40-50 days on skates every year and has been skating on natural ice in different countries for over 30 years. Mårten already started this winter's skating season in Kiruna in mid-November. Henrik Trygg is one of Sweden's most respected travel photographers and has skated alongside the cameramen since the early 1990s.

Excursion skating has been delivered to Finnish conditions in cooperation with Suomen Latu and Suomen Retkiluistelijode. The correctness of the book's translation is the responsibility of the expert group of Finnish Trekking Skaters chaired by Hans von Bagh.
