The two liter bags are handy if the water point is further away, you don't have to fetch it so often. However, it is more difficult to squeeze from a large bag than from a standard half-liter bag. I tried to make it easier to squeeze by sitting on the bag, it didn't last many times. No experience with liter bags.

A 1-liter bag speeds up the use of the filter. I have carried one bag and one spare with me on hikes. It's a bit of a pain to fill with standing water, but you can fill it with a jug or another container. Strong recommendation to get this bigger bag as a friend of the filter, the standard 0.5 liter bag is really slow to use.

Using large 2 l bags with a filter is inconvenient. With a half-liter bag, you get a bigger pressure and flow rate with the same squeeze. I used big bags on the hike to collect water.

The hanging point is missing. Hard plastic. Makes you doubt the durability of the bags. However, it makes washing and drying easier.
