The Field Assault Boot is built to be as tough as you are: featuring a stitched-down Vibram outsole that delivers traction, stability, and flexibility, while protecting your feet from the elements. The 8-inch Cordura suede upper is made of lightweight and abrasion-resistant fabric that lets your foot breath. The EVA insole and polyurethane midsole provide comfort with a custom fit that provides stability and shock absorption. The Lace-Lock system features a quick-on-off system that incorporates braided, nylon laces that are durable and create a locked-in fit.

The maihars have been in use for about 3 weeks now. Initial impression: As an experienced maihari/boot sock, I can say that maihari are of high quality for the price. The first feeling was perhaps too stiff, but the maihars take some time to take shape.
Bad: the shoes rub more compared to my previous full leather jumping boots. This problem will probably go away when the weather gets colder.
Good: the ease of putting on the boots and the same the other way around. There is no need to do the so-called skate effect, i.e. the terrible loosening/opening of the links and then tightening. The straps are easily loosened by jerking the flap (the flap under the straps).
Appearance: these look street-credible and sexy
In conclusion: I've had somewhat negative experiences with these so-called camber tactical boots and their durability in Finnish conditions as work and leisure shoes.
I would love to write a new review next spring when I know how the shoes will last over the winter.
Sumsummarum: I give the rating Good and can recommend the shoes to other Maihari/boot people.

Overpriced and overvalued. I had coveted these shoes about ten years ago, but their availability was poor and should have been ordered directly from behind. Now they were on sale for € 99 and I finally decided to give it a try. The general feeling is rather poor. Which in these can cost about a lot. What are these suitable for? They don't breathe a bit of leather, they already sniff in a small city walk. Does not like water. Two ventilation holes on the side with water inside. A dry shoe and not for hot weather or frost. Buy decent membrane shoes instead.
