The Distance Carbon Z is Black Diamond's lightest Z-Pole engineered for those who travel fast. With 100% carbon construction, the Distance Carbon Z features a three-section foldable design that allows for fast-response deployment. Black Diamond has slimmed down the diameter of the poles, shaving weight and bulk without sacrificing durability. I have never used trekking poles before so I didn't really know what to expect or what to buy. I've used these a handful of times now. They're easy to use, super light, and help tremendously on my steep climbs when I'm out trail running. On flats I can easily carry with one hand and when not needed they fold up nicely and fit no problem in my Salomon Sense5. A little pricey but if looking for good quality and ease this way to go.

— Show originalI took the Bear tour with me for the hike. They were light and still sufficiently sturdy. They lasted very steep climbs and supported even challenging trails. Without the poles, the ascent of Konttainen and the Pähkanän trail section would have been quite challenging with the bike.| Overall rating |
Lightweight and very strong. These are some of my favorite poles for outdoor adventures in the mountains to travel fast and light. They fold up nicely.
