Light and airy summer boots. Not the least bit waterproof, so if you walk through dewy grass, your foot will get wet on top of the toes. However, the feet dry quickly, and the big advantage of the shoes is precisely that the feet stay dry and airy when hiking on hot days.

Light, fits the foot really well. It also works on asphalt, even if there is a large pattern on the bottom. It works as a general shoe in continuous use. Even though it's low-slung, there's a little more leg than in sneakers. When walking on the trails, trash doesn't get into your shoes as easily. It also works when running, e.g. in yard games, even though you may not have running shoes now. Fast tapes are really good for this general use. You don't have to tie those laces every time you put on shoes.
