The Freerain22 is a 22 liter high-performance waterproof backpack that compresses for travel.
Ultralight UHMWPE-reinforced Robic® nylon delivers extraordinary durability, while the UTS coating, sealed seams, and rolltop closure yield a fully waterproof main compartment. Alpine-ready features include oversized water bottle pockets, gear loops, and shockcord captures for technical tools. Adjustable sternum strap, removeable hip belt, and weight distributing shoulder straps yield an agile and balanced fit. Stow in the included mesh compression sack for travel.

Bought a few weeks ago. Had the opportunity to use it in city walk and in light hiking. The bag is well made, it is supposed to be waterproof (not yet tested). It is rather small BUT not as small as the SUMMIT ULTRA LIGHT BACKPACK. I own both bags and I prefer the Summit bag over Matador as the summit is significantly smaller when packed. I will bring the Matador on specific trips knowing that I will need it, not just in case.

— Show originalI haven't been able to try the backpack out in nature yet, so the assessment is based on what I've examined inside. I tried hard to find something wrong or lacking in the backpack. I did not find. It's just perfect for me. There were more small, convenient details than were mentioned in the product presentation. I have a short back and many backpacks are too high. Here, however, that mentioned height is only realized when fully packed. With my own equipment, the backpack is just the right size.| Overall rating |
