Built with durable, stretchy and weather-resistant softshell fabric for high-output pursuits in mild conditions, the Black Diamond HeavyWeight Softshell gloves offer dynamic, breathable protection while ski touring, climbing or hiking. The full goat leather palms and fingers offer a secure grip on poles or tools, and feature digital material on the thumbs and index fingers to allow for gloves-on touchscreen functionality. Fleece-lined neoprene cuffs seal out the elements and make for easy on and off.

I bought Heavyweight gloves for skiing and outdoor activities in winter, works well down to -10 degrees below zero. I also have Midweight gloves of the same brand, which are sufficient around 0 degrees. I like Black Diamond's gloves because: easy to put on thanks to the short cuffs, really durable thanks to the goat leather on the palm side, good button feel when handling the phone/map, for example, the fleece on the upper side keeps wind and moisture out. The best winter gloves I've owned in 40 years!
