Based on a couple of forest trips, these boots feel good and have really good grip. The heel rises a little when walking, but not disturbingly so. Another note is that when you have a longer leg, it starts to squeeze the right foot from the side, so you should take boots 1 or even 2 sizes bigger than the normal size. The socks must be thin and snug so they work well and don't chafe.

I've been hiking for about 15 years and during that time I've lost several pairs of hiking boots. On several occasions, it was annoying to take it if the hiking boots got wet. Sometimes the membrane of the hiking shoes failed over time or water seeped in through the shaft. This year I decided to test the "kumpers" on a hike, which would give you a longer handle for crossing swamps or crossing shallower streams. It was an easy choice. Crossing the swamp was also easy, while my friend's Gore boots got wet due to the shorter shaft when he stepped into a small hole in the swamp. These don't breathe through, but with a thick marine sock, I didn't experience sweating as a problem, because they dry relatively quickly (roll down the stem and take out the insole). On hot days without changing shoes, rolling down the stems also improved. The sole is also sturdy enough to cross a rock crevice and didn't slip even though it was a little tense at the beginning (the shock absorption of the sole was a positive surprise, even though the sole is stiff/hard). Of course, such boots do not support the ankle in the same way as hiking boots that are tightened with laces, and this was strongly noticed on sloping surfaces. During the hike with these shoes, I noticed that I found muscles in my leg that are not used in everyday life when walking on asphalt. It's probably a good thing that it activates those ankle support muscles, etc. Autumn forest trips will hardly have the same problem as this first time when the aforementioned muscles have now received their first awakening. Easy putting on and taking off is also a plus. During the breaks, the little one hasn't bothered to start untying and tying the hiking shoes again, but these are quick to take off and put on, so you can give your toes a little break if you want. I was also worried that the branches or the edges of the stones would cut the boot open, but even though I had to walk in the rocks and on the rocks, there were no visible scratches on the shoe. So the tough hike on the trip was also a positive surprise. These are certainly even better suited for hunting tasks when you sometimes have to scramble in ditches in any weather and then the packs are lighter, what about a week's hike.

Good and warm companions. They felt a little colder than the Muck boots, but correspondingly, they felt much more comfortable on the feet thanks to the wider last. Both mentioned shoes dry very slowly, so on a longer trip you have to be careful not to get them wet.

I tested it on my foot at home, but the Viking Falk Neo suited my foot better.

Easy to put on/take off, good fit, warm and light to walk on, and the foot doesn't sweat. Sturdy to walk on and good grip on the sole. Tested in the changing conditions of Lapland. Reasonable price.
