Put another way, the best warmth-to-weight ratio of any sleeping pad ever created. It is warmer, lighter and thicker than the previous model, which is why the XTherm NXT cements the legacy of being the go-to sleeping pad for alpinists, mountaineers and extreme cold expeditions. At 3-inches thick, with horizontal baffles, all-night comfort and support are at hand, while 70D nylon on the bottom ensures the XTherm NXT holds up to extended expedition use. The WingLock Valve allows for rapid inflation and deflation but is also intuitive and easy to use in frigid weather when the gloves are not coming off. — Show originalVery high-quality and durable sleeping pad, which is a suitable size for even a larger sleeper. Suitable as a pad for three or four years. Only tested this summer. The valve works as it should and does not leak - you won't wake up in the morning to a sloppy pad. Easy and efficient emptying. The only weak point is the included filling bag. Filling it was quite laborious. With a better filling bag or even an electric (battery-operated) inflator, this would be 5/5.| Overall rating |

Excellent warmth / weight ratio, you really feel the warmth it provides. Very noisy due to the reflective 'foil' inside, and the surface is too smooth, resulting in you sliding down/off at night. However, the features and specs heavily outweigh these small practical issues, which makes for a great trekking sleeping pad.
