This 100% cotton and oilskin treated gearpiece makes a wonderful waterproof seat mat, a cloth you can eat or work on; you can even tie it to the top of your non-waterproof backpack or anything in general, as it is made from sturdy 6oz waxed cotton canvas.

I like it very much. It is of course a bit heavier that a foam mat but the way it is made it is very sturdy and flexible. You can wax it if it isn't waterproof any more. The woolen side feels very warm. It's great to sit on the ground or on a cold and wet bench. To carry it you can fold it several times. So it doesn't take up much space.

Simply the best seating platform. The bigger size is really big, it would almost be enough for two in an emergency. And it doesn't take up a lot of space compared to the large area the platform covers, packs into a slightly bigger package than the Carinthia seat platform, but is much bigger than that. Can withstand wet conditions immediately without treatment.
