Pluses
- Work on a hike in Northern Lapland in September with merino wool mittens helpful in several hours of sleet and strong wind with hiking poles. I.e. it didn't get shockingly cold on that stage even though the gloves got soaked through.
Cons
- They don't live up to their name ("waterproof all weather glove"): they got wet and sometimes felt cold despite the merino gloves (especially at the beginning of the hiking sections and when the wind hits the fingers directly from the front)
- Made the hands quite clumsy; you had to take off your gloves if you wanted to do anything more demanding than tightening the waist belt
- Based on the packaging, it was impossible to find out how this glove differed from Sealskinz's other glove model, and even 2 sellers failed to explain this
- I would rather buy hiking products made elsewhere than in China
-> I think that (genuinely) waterproof gloves with fingers are a better substitute against the wind and moisture of the open canyon
