Good ice poles fit well in the hand and are light but still easy to cut through the ice. The only downside is the hand loops, which are not included in touring ice poles. The poles are attached really tightly, which makes it difficult to use at speed. The blade protection plugs fit snugly.

Decent poles. Stable clips, strong enough for testing and yet good also for skating as propulsion. On the heavy side but thats handy for testing the ice. Would by them again

Stable but still very light. Really solid and extremely sharp tips that easily go through the ice. Connected together, they sit together stably, like a pole. The only thing to note is that the rubber tips fit very well, a little too well. You have to struggle for a while to get them off, but better that than the opposite considering how sharp they are.

Bad tips bent the first time they were returned.

Super light weight yet bada$$ weighted tips effective at checking ice. Only used once so tbd on longevity

The tips broke in a couple of skating sessions. Apparently, the hard ice of the bitter cold was too much for them. Sufficient length is a plus.
