The NATO Combat ski is a light, robust and versatile waxable ski for mountains or hunting. It is equipped with steel edges and a 22 mm sidecut.
Originally developed for military and army applications, this ski is built to handle steep and demanding terrains as well as high-speed travel in various conditions. This versatility is achieved through a combination of features, including a moderate wax pocket, a 22 mm sidecut, and a balanced width, providing control and excellent floatation on deep snow. It's a ski purpose-built for demanding and extreme use, perfect for quick traversals and steep descents.
Designed to withstand the harshest mountain challenges, the binding area of the ski is reinforced with an alloy called Titanal, and the base is precisely milled to minimize friction where the climbing skin attaches. Additionally, there's a designated opening at the rear of the ski for attaching a short skin in extremely cold temperatures. The Combat ski is engineered to conquer any obstacle the mountain throws its way.

Used six outings of a few hours in different conditions, it is a really versatile ski. A ski that is very easy to control and gives confidence. I don't know if it's the fact that they are a little heavier than average but they give the impression of having a "suspension", are very comfortable. They seem very solid to me, in short, made for war...
I have been Nordic skiing for about fifty years, a passion.
