Finally, a solution to the power problems of sup board pumps. With this powerful and compact backup power source, you can fill up your SUP board together with the Saimaa SUP 12V Electric Pump anywhere behind a roadless trail. The backup power source also works together with other similar sup pumps or devices. The power bank also has 2 USB charging options for phone / tablet.
The battery has a plug for the cigarette lighter connector, to which you can connect an electric sup pump. The battery supplies a whopping 140W of power from the cigarette lighter connector, which distinguishes it from cheaper power banks.
The battery is enough to fill 2 large SUP boards (300-350l) approx. to 18psi pressure. Read our detailed experiences at the bottom of the page. Several of the smaller boards go to lower pressure.
The USB rechargeable battery also acts as a large backup power source, as the pump has two standard USB outputs in addition to the cigarette lighter connector, so you can also charge phones etc. equipment. In addition, there are three LED lights on the battery, so you can also use the device as a travel light.
A really versatile and efficient backup power source, sup pump battery and light in the same compact package. You can monitor the battery charge level on the illuminated screen.
Tests
The battery has been tested on a Saimaa SUP Bass board together with a Saimaa SUP 12V Electric Pump . Air volume of the board approx. 330 l. With a full battery, typical operating pressure, approx. 15PSI was reached in just over 10 minutes. Filling the board with a full battery to the maximum produced by the pump, 20PSI, took exactly 20 minutes. Our more detailed measurement results:
Initial battery status 100%, board Saimaa SUP Bass 11.0:
10min -> 15PSI, battery charge remaining 75%
15min -> 17PSI, battery charge remaining 66%
20min -> 20PSI, battery charge remaining 53%
Second charge without charging the battery:
10min -> 11PSI, battery charge remaining 25%
15min -> 15PSI, battery charge remaining 15%
At low percentages, the battery no longer supplies power to the pump's compressor, but you can continue to use it as a backup power source and as a travel light, which is a very convenient additional feature. So the Sup pump does not suck the battery completely empty.
