The sock is really tight on the calf. The size 42-44 sock has perhaps too much volume on the instep for my 42.5/43 foot and you have to adjust the sock for a while before putting it on the ski boot so that there are no wrinkles. My own calves are not even thick at all and still feel tight. The sock itself is a bit like a thin ski sock with a thicker sock and feels a bit rough on the foot, but you get used to it. You don't notice the battery when skiing, or at least I didn't notice it. We had the socks for the first 3 hours of testing at -12 degrees and at medium power, the foot clearly withstood that cold better than a regular merino blend sock. On the afternoon skis, the temperature was already -16 and the power was turned to three, or full. The sock still worked well at that temperature, but my foot starts to get cold because the boots are quite tight. There is no information about the continuous battery life, because we charged the batteries between times.| Overall rating |
A few uses later and they seem good. Finally, my toes are warm when ice-skating, touring, cycling, etc. The sock legs should be available in different lengths. Now the batteries stay quite high, which is why all the underwear, legs, etc. have to be left up so that the batteries can be adjusted during the activity. Although, once you learn which temperature levels are enough at any given time, it reduces the need for adjustment in the middle of everything.| Overall rating |
Ordered for skiing, they aren’t as hot as I expected (they do get hot just takes time) but work well with ski boots fitted. The battery is discrete and easy to charge

For many years I had to suffer with cold toes on bike rides in the winter. Not anymore.
The lowest level is sufficient, the sock is almost unnoticeable on the foot, and the batteries don't really weigh down.
The size also fit well, and it wasn't like the Italian "take 3 sizes bigger with pleasure".
If you suffer from cold toes, then a strong recommendation. I would buy again
