The best boots I have used of many. Haven't had cold feet yet standing around at cold belays and that was standard for me in much heavier boots. Climb precisely.

Comfortable, I love the Boa system. Good for mountaineering in the winter, wouldn’t wear for higher than 4.5k peaks tho

It is a product with good evaluation around it, so I think it would be good to use it when climbing a pure ice wall.

Super light weight which is great, but the rand started delaminating after just a couple of trips. For now, I've glued them back together.

Wow these boots climb welll! They can be a little cold if you’re stood around on a belay for a long time but your feet quickly warm up when you’re climbing again. They also walk more like a b1 than a b3.

Great for mixed climbing and the harder more technical ice, but not the perfect shoe. Pair with narrow toe bailed crampons to avoid breakages! I had the regular Petzl Fil break mid route. Fil Smalls have worked fine with my Darts so far. Durability of mine have been fine 2 years in of wknd climbing in Finnish winter season. I have friends who have had the red toe bail enforcement crack, which could lead to delamination. Boa closure is super convenient, mine are still going strong. Readjusting the laces with the Phantom Guides was a pain during the day, while G-Tech Boas can be adjusted easily even during leading. Can't comment on the thread wear, as the approaches have been short. I've had them submerged a few times, but never had water entering through. I have been warm enough in G-techs up to -15C (even colder if opening the Boa). I think of the G-Tech being more sporty and closer to a fruit boot, easy to use, light. However if you want to emphasise durability, slightly more warmth, reliability (no boa, stronger rand and toe enforcement) over added weight, cost and agility then the closest competition (Phantom Tech) could be more suitable.

Used for one week so far and working great. Despite being amazingly light, they are still warm enough for Scottish winter conditions. No issues with the fit, comfortable straight out of the box. No regrets.
