Kauhavan Puukkopaja Decoration Knife 502

Decoration Knife from Kauhava Puukkopaja are made entirely by hand. The handle is shaped from a block of curly birch by hand. Brass or albata silver plates and fibreboard are used for decoration. Two-component epoxy glue is applied between each piece. The tang of the blade passes through the end of the knife and is riveted to the end of the knife. The straight handle fits a large hand and the handle design makes the knife easy to use.

Ideal for carving and also beautiful as a gift knife. The curly birch handles are treated with linseed oil, or stained, and are not slippery in the hand. The sheath is made of vegetable-tanned oxhide. Inside the sheath is a plastic support and guard. The blades are made by Laurin Metalli Oy in Kauhava, Finland, from high-quality special carbon steel.
