I replaced the old commercial extension tube, buttstock and buffer with the corresponding milspec parts. The new buttstock has a release adjustment that prevents it from accidentally opening, e.g. when shooting from a prone position. In addition, the buttstock is less loose and allows for better support when lying down when the support hand is under the buttstock. All parts work well together and there have been no malfunctions due to the buffer during the first hundred shots.
