A good replacement for the standard backpack clips. The advantage is that they don't break (especially in very cold environments), there's no "clicking" sound, and your finger skin doesn't get caught in them. The curved design makes them less likely to come loose under tension, which can also be an advantage. In short, indispensable for long trips.
