Saimaa Kayaks Sit on Top 1 (SOT) is a 270cm long playful and durable open kayak, which is suitable for short paddling trips and for fun together at the cottage beach. The frame is made of durable polyethylene and the kayak has no removable fins, rudder or other parts that can be lost or broken, so its use is very carefree. Sit on top is agile in its movements and easy to paddle for both children and adults. A good choice for rental companies as well.

"Sit on top", i.e. an open kayak that sits on top, is perfect for people who don't want to slip through a small opening into the kayak or feel uncomfortable sitting inside the kayak. It's easy to get into the Sit on top kayak from the dock and go on a kayaking trip!

The kayak can be used with or without the soft seat included in the equipment package; the bottom has a shaped seat area with a low backrest for the lower back. In front of the bench there is a bottle holder, a small waterproof storage compartment and behind a bungee net, under which it is easy to attach travel accessories. Thanks to the two rod/reel racks, fishing is also possible with an open kayak. The rod racks are conveniently located right behind the bench on the sides of the kayak.

The equipment package includes a light aluminum paddle with plastic pallets that can be separated into two parts, which is 222 cm long and weighs 950 g. The handle of the paddle has a grip pad for the right hand as well as three different blade angle adjustment possibilities and runoff water barriers on the paddle. The paddle gives you a very pleasant grip and a good feel for paddling.
