The Trek is an easy-to-paddle kayak with a 420cm long hull that glides excellently and also holds its direction in open water sections. The wider and flatter profile of the bottom makes the kayak easy to control and stable, making it well suited for beginners and enthusiasts looking for a good and carefree basic kayak for fitness and hiking.
The hull is very stiff for its price range and the kayak's speed and glide have been praised by experienced paddlers. The hull is made of polyethylene, which is very resistant to possible impacts with piers or rocks both on the shore and in the water. The kayak has two watertight bulkheads that separate the bow, middle and stern from each other.
The kayak has good storage space for longer trips. There are watertight packing hatches with rubber covers at the bow and stern. There is also storage space behind the swivel bench backrest. You can also carry things on the deck, where there are two rubber deck straps.
The kayak has a removable and liftable rudder, which is controlled with your feet on the footrests. The footrests are adjustable with a large adjustment range. The precisely shaped and padded bench with an adjustable backrest makes it comfortable to paddle even longer sections. The kayak has carrying handles at the front and back and deck ropes.
The included basic paddle is lightweight and can be disassembled into two parts, made of aluminum and equipped with plastic blades. It is 222cm long and weighs 950g. The paddle shaft has a grip for the right hand, three different blade angle adjustments and water runoff prevention on the blade. The paddle gives you a very comfortable grip and a good feel for paddling.
