Care Plus -hätäpeite suojaa sekä kylmyydeltä että kuumuudelta, joten se on erinomainen käytettäväksi onnettomuuksissa ja vaikeissa sääolosuhteissa.
Kylmältä suojaamiseksi peittoa on käytetään hopeinen puoli sisäänpäin. Alumiinikerros heijastaa noin 80 % kehon lämpötilasta, mikä estää tehokkaasti hypotermian ja jäätymisen.
Kun tarvitaan suojaa kuumuudelta, hopeapuolen on oltava ulospäin heijastamassa auringonvaloa, mikä auttaa pitämään kehon viileänä.
