The Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Pro thermal imaging cameras have taken a new approach: the best possible settings have been made for different applications and viewing targets, so that both the targets and their backgrounds stand out the most. The three-level adjustable signal amplification power and the image softening filter, together with the finely adjustable brightness and contrast, ensure perfect reproduction of details, which is important for counting horns, for example. The thermal image always remains clear regardless of changing weather and temperature conditions.

The Pulsar Axion thermal camera is built for continuous and often rough use. It has a strong and durable magnesium alloy body that is still lightweight. The body effectively protects the internal components of the device, especially its most important part – the thermal imager – from impacts, drops, moisture, heat and cold. The metal body also acts as a heat sink, which removes waste heat generated in the device’s internal parts (especially the thermal imager), reduces noise and also keeps the thermal imager stable even during prolonged use.

The Pulsar Axion 2 thermal cameras feature a French Lynred thermal imaging sensor with a resolution of 384x288 pixels (17 µm pixel pitch) for perfect detail resolution. Even the slightest temperature fluctuations are clearly visible in rain, fog or cold mornings, when conditions for thermal imaging are at their most challenging.

The Germanium-coated F35/1.0 lens delivers the best infrared light reproduction in the long-wave infrared (LWIR) range. The process used to manufacture the lenses is very precise, resulting in a very clear and detailed image from the Axion 2 XQ series thermal imaging sensor.

The thermal imager’s high-capacity, rechargeable APS5 battery allows for up to 11 hours of continuous use on a single charge. It only takes a couple of seconds. Removing the battery from the device and replacing it with a new one takes just a couple of seconds. The battery can be charged either in a special APS5 or APS-V battery charger (products 79182 and 79186) or inside the device using the device’s USB-C port when connected to a computer, AC adapter or power bank. The same USB-C port can also be used for wired data transfer.

By connecting the Pulsar Axion 2 thermal camera to an Android or iOS mobile device, using the Pulsar Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens up a whole new set of possibilities, such as streaming video to the Internet, wireless firmware updates, content sharing on social media, remote control and free access to read Pulsar's own news feed. The faster 5 GHz frequency band enables smoother and more stable data transfer and reduces the susceptibility of the wireless connection to interference, which improves the productivity of your thermal camera and makes it even more pleasant to use as a companion to your smart device.

The powerful F35/1.0 objective lens combined with a super-sensitive 384x288 pixel (17 µm pixel pitch) thermal imaging sensor gives the Pulsar Axion 2 thermal cameras exceptional detection capabilities. A typical 1.8 meter target can be distinguished from up to 1300 meters away in pitch darkness.

Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 thermal cameras are perfect for both wide-area surveillance and for monitoring moving targets at a distance. The horizontal field of view at 100 meters is 18.2 (10.7°). Picture-in-picture (PiP) mode opens an additional screen at the top of the image, where the center of the viewing area is displayed magnified two or four times (2x–4x). This way, it is possible to see the whole picture and track your target closely at the same time.

Pulsar Axion 2 thermal imaging cameras fit into even the smallest spaces and can be carried with you, even in the bottom of your pocket. The Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Pro weighs only 380 grams! The device is easy to hold and use regardless of whether the owner is left- or right-handed, because the design is symmetrical and the control buttons are rationally placed on the device.

Up to 8x digital zoom makes it easier to focus and identify subjects at longer distances. The zoom level changes either gradually in 2x increments or continuously, so the user's field of view is fully customizable to suit the situation at hand.

Pulsar Axion 2 thermal cameras start up quickly: the device is fully ready for use within five seconds of pressing the power (ON) button.
Quick start also helps save battery power: while out and about in nature, Axion doesn't have to be in standby mode all the time, but you can turn it on only when needed.

Whether it's heavy rain, a snowstorm, or other wet conditions, the IPX7 waterproof rating ensures that your device won't let you down even in the wettest weather! Your device is designed to function flawlessly even when submerged to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes.

Pulsar Axion 2 thermal cameras have a built-in video and image recorder. The device's internal memory can hold hours of exciting videos and thousands of the best of your thermal images. You can capture an interesting moment or start video recording with the touch of a button. The footage can also be transferred to a computer via a USB cable. Pulsar Axion 2 thermal camera owners also get 16 GB of free cloud storage by registering with Pulsar's own cloud service (Pulsar Cloud). All you need to do is install the free Stream Vision 2 mobile app, log in to the service and connect the device to your smartphone via Wi-Fi.

The 640 x 480 pixel HD AMOLED display has better color reproduction, saves power, has high contrast, and a short response time, and produces a bright and smooth image even when moving around in freezing weather.

The built-in Wi-Fi module and the free Stream Vision 2 app allow you to wirelessly connect your device to Android and iOS smart devices. This opens up a whole new set of possibilities, such as video streaming to the Internet, wireless firmware updates, content sharing to social media, remote control and free access to Pulsar's own news feed. In addition, registered users of the app receive 16 GB of free cloud storage space, where they can store material recorded on their device.

A choice of eight different color palettes improves visibility in different conditions, allowing you to choose the most suitable option for each situation and viewing conditions. Hot white, hot black and hot red make it easier to detect target movement, while rainbow and ultramarine highlight temperature differences between targets and make identification easier. Red monochrome, sepia and violet reduce eye fatigue and are best suited for long-term night observation.
