This is an excellent device that justifies its relatively high price. It feels robust and high-quality, clearly giving the impression of a premium product. The user interface is a definite improvement over older models, and the touchscreen works well. It is easy to use while riding, and the interface feels intuitive compared to previous versions. Navigating maps is easy thanks to the large screen, which is bright enough even for sunny days. The battery life suits my needs perfectly, as I don't go on ultra-long rides; with a few rides a week lasting a couple of hours each, I only need to charge it every 1–2 weeks. The device offers extensive control over external peripherals, which can be conveniently managed while riding—much like on a smartphone—by swiping down from the top edge to access a dedicated menu. The built-in virtual bell is a fantastic feature, especially since many riders (myself included) prefer not to clutter their mountain bikes with rattling mechanical bells; a quick double-tap on the screen alerts others to your approach. Thanks to the large display, all necessary data fields fit onto a single screen, so you rarely need to switch views while riding unless you're checking maps or other specific features. For mountain biking, the separate top-tube mount is handy, as it keeps the device in a more protected position. When mounting it to the handlebars, keep in mind that it is larger than many other devices, so it is worth verifying mount compatibility. However, a variety of mounts are included, so you likely won't need to purchase extra accessories. The main downside for me is the slight curvature of the screen edges, which makes it difficult to find compatible screen protectors. In any case, this is among the best bike computers available, and reviews tend to slightly understate how good the device is compared to older, similar models. I have been using it for just under two months now, and so far, I have been satisfied.| Overall rating |
Easy to set up. Gets everything the same as the 1030+ meter. The display is much more visible in the sun. Navigation is easier because of the display. Doesn't lose the route like the previous one did. So it's better in almost everything, at least now with 900km of experience
