The shoes are exceptional - i have been wearing them on the sand dunes and beach in preparation for a desert ultra later this year and so far not a single grain of sand has made its way inside the shoe. They have exceeded my expectations.

I did a couple of test runs with the shoes. The tightening works well, the sock and its zipper work and seal well. The drawstring at the top is a good addition. It's a bit tricky to pull the shoe all the way up because of the protective fabric surrounding it. The shoe is incredibly soft, which is great for someone with a broken knee like this. Even when walking on asphalt, it feels like you're walking on clouds. Of course, it's quite a price, I had to think for a long time whether I could even pay this much for the shoe.

I bought it for winter running, a really good shoe for this, the grip is spot on. The only downside is the tightening of the protective part, it's too tight when there's clothing underneath, the tightening strap/fabric doesn't have enough room to loosen.
