The hat was purchased for hunting/fishing and outdoor use. The product is made of high-quality materials and the overall impression is really good. The hat is comfortable on the head and breathes well. The shapeable brim is a big plus. This can be folded into the desired shape. The brim of the hat is quite short and in sunny weather it could be longer. On the other hand, in cloudy weather and when walking in a shady forest it is just fine. I think the price is a lot for a boonie hat, but you get value for money.

This boonie hat is really great—good quality and super comfortable to wear. My head size is 58.9 cm, and I went with the XL; it fits well with a bit of extra space. You can adjust the front and back brims however you like, and it’s easier to do if you’re not wearing glasses or sunglasses. A nice surprise was that UF PRO threw in a storage pouch, so overall it’s definitely worth the money. If you haven’t tried the UF PRO STRIKER GEN 3 Boonie hat yet, I’d totally recommend giving it a shot. I bought the GEN 3 Boonie hat in multicam, multicam black, and brown grey. Next time, I’m thinking about picking up the tan and flecktarn as well. Although it doesn’t have as many color options as the GEN 2, I think all five colors of the GEN 3 are pretty nice.
