I own the Altra Lone Peak 9 in size 38.5, which is the size I ordered for these as well. However, it feels like there is an uncomfortable pressure point right where the plastic toe cap begins. I’m currently waiting for size 39 to arrive; hopefully, they’ll be a better fit. It’s a shame that the sizing varies so much—I have Altra shoes in sizes 38, 38.5, and 39. When considering a new model, I really ought to order at least two different sizes. A plus for the Gore-Tex! 😊 A minus for the sizing/fit, as it feels like they pinch.

These trail runners have been an amazing purchase! They have been my pair of shoes while backpacking in South America for months. I do a lot of trekking in the jungle, the mountains, I walked in the rain, and also use them as my casual city shoes, as they look put together and classic when clean. They are comfortable, have great traction. Absolutely no issue. Varuste had a good discounted price on that model when I bought them, so it was a plus! The shoes got delivered (all the way to Australia) very quickly, in the timeframe that was advertised, well packaged, no issue. The company have sent me different emails to keep me up to date every step of my order. I never needed to contact them, as everything went smoothly, but contact details were easy to find if I needed to. Great experience all around.

Wonderfully wide last, Gore-Tex is a plus, great for walking even with two dogs, and the grip is solid!

Grippy sole and a comfortably wide last! I bought half a size larger than the standard Lone Peak 9+.

Great shoes. I bought them for hiking, but they ended up becoming my golf shoes too. They offer plenty of room for the toes and have a sole with good grip. While size 40 fits me in my other Altra running shoes, I had to buy a 39 in this model—so they might run large.
