— Show originalExcellent running shoes; they work well on various surfaces, including snow. I previously owned the Hoka Challenger 8 (non-Gore-Tex version), and it’s great to have feet that stay dry even in wet weather. I initially chose the same size (38) for the Gore-Tex Challengers as I had for the standard model, but I had to switch to size 38 2/3 because the Gore-Tex version has a snugger fit, even though the internal measurement is the same.| Overall rating |

It keeps moisture out reasonably well, provided there isn't continuous heavy rain, as the Gore-Tex treatment isn't quite as effective as in some other models or competing shoes.
