Product description

Petzl Gully 45cm is a featherlight ice axe built for demanding technical mountaineering and steep ski objectives. This compact ice axe combines a curved shaft with a comfortable head shape for confident grip both in piolet-canne position and while climbing. A tapered steel re-curve pick supports precise placements and quick release, while the tool-free adjustable Trigrest hand rest helps fine-tune hand position on the move. Depending on the version, it comes with an adze or a hammer, and optional weights can be added separately for improved bite in very hard ice.

  • Ultra-light technical ice axe designed for technical mountaineering and steep skiing
  • Compact 45 cm length for efficient handling and easy pack carry
  • Steel re-curve pick tapered to a 3 mm tip for accurate placements and straightforward removal
  • Pick cut-outs reduce weight and allow clipping a carabiner
  • Curved shaft with grip grooves for secure purchase on steep ice
  • Trigrest hand rest adjusts quickly without tools for switching to climbing mode
  • Low-profile adze or hammer version for clearing snow or driving a piton
  • Optional add-on weights sold separately to increase penetration in very hard ice
