Product description

Petzl Auxiliary Open Brake for I'D adds extra, controllable friction to an I’D setup for smoother handling under heavier loads or thicker ropes. This auxiliary open brake is made for I’D self-braking descenders and helps fine-tune braking performance to match the load and rope diameter. The open design also allows the rope to be released whenever needed without fully removing the add-on.

  • Auxiliary open brake accessory that boosts friction control for I’D self-braking descenders
  • Compatible with I’D S, I’D L and I’D Evac descenders
  • Helps adjust braking to suit heavier loads and different rope diameters
  • Open-style brake lets the user release the rope at any time
