The forest game bird permit covers the hunting of all small game. Permits are sold only for the game bird season.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PURCHASING PERMITS

• Enter the number of hunters in the "Quantity" field and select the desired day.
• Enter the names (first name and surname) of the hunting permit holders in the "Permit holder names" section. The number of names listed must match the number of hunters.
• If you wish to purchase permits for multiple days, add the days to the shopping cart one by one, following the instructions above.
• If you want your hunting permits in paper format, add the "Catch Report" product to your shopping cart.

The hunting permit is issued in electronic format and sent to the provided email address. Always check the details in the order confirmation ( dates, area, and names of permit holders). The order confirmation is accompanied by area maps and any applicable permit conditions. You should carefully familiarize yourself with the maps and permit conditions before starting the hunt. Hunting restrictions must also be taken into account.

You can load all the plots included in the permit area onto the map in the free Oma riista and WeHunt X Tracker mobile apps by using your Oma riista credentials and adding the Oma riista area ID to the map. The Oma riista area ID appears at the top of the map provided with the permit. You can download the apps from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store by searching for "WeHunt X Tracker" or "Oma riista".

The order confirmation serves as your hunting permit, so print it out and bring both the permit and proof of payment with you when hunting. You must also carry a form of identification. Keep these with you at all times while hunting. Additionally, print out the accompanying maps to take with you.

NOTE: Hunting permits are reserved only after you click the "Submit order" button at checkout. If the permits in your shopping cart sell out while you are preparing your order, they will not be purchased.

Please note that purchased permits are non-refundable, non-modifiable, and non-exchangeable. Permit holder names cannot be changed afterwards, either.

The permit holder bears the liability prescribed by law for the holder of the hunting right regarding damages caused by hunting activities, and thus undertakes to compensate for all damages caused by themselves or by assistants or dogs used during the hunt.

Not all lands belonging to the joint forest are included in the permit area. Please note that purchasing a permit grants hunting rights only for the areas marked on the permit map. Always verify that hunting is permitted in the area where you are moving.

Right of the permit purchaser to cancel a paid permit

The purchaser of the permit has the right to cancel the permit and receive a refund of the price paid, less an administrative fee of 13 euros, if it would be unreasonable to require them to use the purchased permit due to the sudden serious illness, serious accident, or death of the purchaser or a person close to them (persons considered close include a spouse, cohabiting partner, child, parent, parent-in-law, sibling, grandchild, and grandparent), or due to another unexpected and serious event that makes it unreasonable to require them to use the purchased permit. Such other unexpected and serious events include, for example, significant property damage, such as a fire in the home. The illness or death of a dog or a car breakdown is not considered a serious event.

The purchaser of the permit must notify the seller of the cancellation without delay. Any impediment to using the permit must be substantiated by reliable evidence—such as a medical certificate, a police investigation report, or a statement from an insurance company—as soon as possible and no later than two weeks after the impediment entitling the purchaser to cancellation arises, unless adhering to this time limit would be unreasonably difficult for the purchaser. If a cancellation based on the aforementioned reasons is made after the permit’s validity period has already commenced, no refund of the permit price will be issued.

FOWL HUNTING TERMS
With this permit, you may hunt the game listed below.

You receive 5 hunting points per day (e.g., three days = 15 points). With these hunting points, you are permitted to hunt game with the following values:
- capercaillie 10 points
- black grouse 5 points
- willow grouse 5 points PROTECTED
- hazel grouse 2 points
- goose 10 points
- other waterbirds 2 points
- other bird game 1 point
- rabbit 2 points
- beaver 5 points
- small predators 0 points

Note: With a one-day license, you are not permitted to hunt capercaillie or goose.



OTHER TERMS.
- Steel and tungsten shot are prohibited.
- You are allowed to make a fire using sticks found on the ground.
- You cannot cancel your hunting license or obtain a refund, except in cases of *force majeure* due to illness affecting you or a family member.

There are wind turbines located on the Kauniskangas tract of the Kuusamo joint forest—in the area between Loukkuskangas and Iso Palovaara in southern Suomussalmi, near the Hyrynsalmi border. Particular caution must be exercised when hunting in the vicinity of the wind turbines. When preparing to shoot, it is absolutely essential to ensure that the shot does not cause damage to the wind turbines or to the buildings and structures of the wind farm. The holder of the hunting permit is liable for any damage they cause.
