This underestimated functional garment should always be included in your equipment when you are out in the wilderness. The poncho has many areas of use. It can naturally be used when it rains, it is just a matter of throwing the poncho over yourself and your backpack. However, a poncho can also be used as a tarp, wind sack or to cover your sleeping bag when sleeping under the stars. It is useful during your day-to-day activities, when commuting to and from work, when you are biking or when you are at outdoor concerts. Add a pair of chaps if you want to have more protection for your legs. Do not miss out on this functional, lightweight solution.

Heavy and impractical. The sleeves and legs get wet, and if you leave the chest on the inside - which is actually the only option, then it pulls the front right up to the knees. The water flows directly onto the legs.
Two can be tuned if needed, but there hasn't been a need yet.

A nice understated poncho that also works as a poncho.
I used to have a Rab Silponcho and the reason why I went for this one is clear. I wanted to use the poncho also in everyday use, e.g. from the car when I'm walking with gas or on a quick shopping trip. The previous poncho was far too flimsy and the hood did not stay properly on the head. The hood of this can be tightened like a shell jacket on the head to stay properly in place.
It also drapes comfortably and you don't even notice it's a poncho unless you look closely. This is a big plus. I recommend!

Good feel and quality, will replace my backpack cover and rain clothing for my next hike, saving quit some weight. Tested in heavy rain and works well. Of course, your wrist come out, but possible the put your hands under the poncho as well, which is great!
