This is Fjällräven's own developed wax made from paraffin and beeswax. It is environmental friendly. The Greenland Wax is used in all Fjällräven's G-1000® products (except in G-1000® SC products).
The wax will over time be worn and the product will partly lose some of its functionality. It is therefore Fjällräven's recommendation that you re-wax your product regularly.
G-1000®, which is a tightly woven fabric of hard-spun fibres in a mixture of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, is in its original version impregnated with Greenland Wax. The wax reinforces the textile’s protection against the wind and rain, and wear.
After repeated washing and frequent use the wax wears off and must be renewed. The wax is a mixture of paraffin and beeswax, and melts at approximately 55° C. One block of wax is sufficient to impregnate some ten garments. An extra-waxed G-1000® garment will keep you dry in almost any weather, anywhere.
Easy to apply and melts well on g-1000 fabric.
Two layers of wax were enough for e.g. a jacket, backpack and totepack so that smaller rain doesn't get through at all.
A hair dryer is a perfect help in e.g. bags and backpacks where there are small spots/difficult spots, this way you can handle the entire backpack well.

Does what it is expected to do. It holds for waxing a whole trouser for 6 - 10 times, depending on the size of the trouser and usage.

still have to use it, I guess it will be fine, it's original and it's just wax.

I honestly haven't tried it yet, but seems legit and so much more planet-friendly than the usual single-use semi-toxic chemical formula in yet another plastic-polluting bottle. No biggy choosing the right solution...
