The Dovre Extreme GTX field sports boot is a high cut boot designed ideally for hunting, but has been praised as a well serving all-rounder. The height of the boot makes it protective in muddy conditions and the rigidity gives excellent ankle support yet has enough flexibility to be comfortable straight out of the box. Made on the Meindl wide fitting last.
The uppers are made from Nubuck leather with a Gore-Tex lining providing a reliable, durable and waterproof frame. Equipped with an Air-Active footbed, the boot stays well ventilated and any unwanted moisture is wicked away in an instant.
Meindl prioritise comfort and have done so here using a Memory Foam System. A combination of foams create extra padding around areas of pressure and pinching and mold to the foot using body heat. This not only gives better support but a comfy, customised fit.
The Dovre Extreme MFS GTX is finished with a Meindl Multigriff sole by Vibram, offering outstanding traction on all terrain particularly in wet and muddy conditions.

Walked my first mile in these shoes. Fantastically stable. Best I've tried in my 59-year life.

Excellent shoes based on 2 weekends of walking. I have put over 40 kilometers on the shoes and they have been put to the test. The conditions have been very wet and challenging in many places. The shoe has a pleasantly wide last and they support the ankle excellently on climbs and descents. I warmly recommend these shoes to others who value quality and enjoyable kilometers when walking in nature.

Based on my first experiences, these are really high-quality shoes. They support the foot, perhaps even too well. However, I wouldn't switch to any other. Over the years, I've had several different brands of shoes and these have impressed me right from the start.

Best boots by far
As a forest firefighter our boots get beat the hell out of. These are built for it all.
Best ankle support out of all the boots I've tried.
Definitely going to order another pair.

Best quality. Sturdy sole. Shapes to fit the foot. Own size larger than the foot. Remember to allow for sufficient "break-in".

They fit well, support the ankle, don't press, don't pinch, don't rub.
They are expensive, but the coming years will show if they are worth the price.

Good fit, doesn't rub, keeps water out. The previous ones have been in use for 20 years, now they are starting to wear out, so they lasted very well.
