Very comfortable and keeps your feet both warm and dry. I no longer long for my hiking boots for winter use. These are so much nicer in the cold. Plus the removable lining.

On the first pair, one of the tape loops came off with the first tightening. Otherwise, they functioned flawlessly in the yard chores of the cottage. For longer walks, maybe something else, like Salomon's Toundra Forces

I bought them as warm winter boots and they do well in wet and cold weather, with one warm sock. Not exactly extreme boots, but you can walk all day even in -15• below zero
