They block out shooting noise well, although I'd rather wear earplugs on the indoor track. Conversations can be heard well, although it takes a little getting used to. The headband that goes over the head of the hearing protectors is a bit long (so short), but it works just fine with a cap. Now if I were to buy one, I would consider a version where the headband is around the neck and not on the head.| Overall rating |
The Sordin Supreme Pro‑X is one of the best‑sounding electronic hearing protectors on the market, with natural audio, four smart profiles (Hunting, Focus, Shooting, Comms), and excellent impulse‑noise compression for safe shooting. It’s slim enough to not interfere with your cheek‑weld, has strong attenuation (around NRR 19–21 dB), and the IP67‑rated mics and sealed battery compartment make it very durable for range and field use. Battery life is impressive (hundreds of hours on two AAAs), and the comfort is top‑tier, especially with the optional silicon gel pads. Pros - Very natural, clear sound with multiple audio profiles - Slim design clears cheek welds and works well with glasses - Strong protection and IP67‑rated mics/battery compartment - Long battery life and simple, glove‑friendly controls Cons - Base foam pads are comfortable but the gel pads are a worthwhile extra cost - Still an over‑ear muff, so not as compact as in‑ear options if space is tight - Pricier than basic electronic muffs, though the quality justifies the cost for serious shooters Highly recommended for anyone who wants protection and situational awareness without the “fake” sound of cheaper muffs.
