Made in Germany from high quality Nubuck leather uppers, these boots provide protection for your feet and are durable on all types of terrain. The classic leather lining mean the boots are incredibly breathable with a feel of quality craftsmanship. Technical features of the boot include; a Digafix lacing system to provide an extra secure fit for your heel, a Memory Foam System (MFS) compression zone around the ankle to reduce pressure when walking downhill, a Meindl Multigriff Vibram sole for excellent traction and shock absorption, and an Air-Active footbed to control moisture levels. Categorised B by Meindl, this walking boot is supportive yet supple. The breathability of the leather lining makes the Borneo 2 MFS particularly ideal for hill-walking in dry climates.

— Show originalAfter 7 years of use (worn out sole) replaced with the same model. The shoes have reliably accompanied me on hiking trails in high and low altitudes in winter and summer. They are very comfortable from the very beginning, despite the lack of GTX they have never gotten wet. Treatment with wax and conditioner. — Show originalGood boot, third pair, relatively good price, I walk about 1400km/year with them, all year round. Seams hold up very well but the sole comes off after about 2-2.5 years, can be glued if you do it right away. No Goretex is a plus.
Have tried other more expensive boots, "Swedish made", where especially the seams but also the soles do not hold up to the same quality (come off).
A tip for shoe manufacturers is not to make so many design seams to make it look nice, they do not hold up = leakage.| Overall rating |

However, I have found that I cannot use them myself because they are too narrow for my feet and had to wear Bernina 2 instead.
So my experience says that it is for people with narrow feet, but otherwise a completely nice boot.| Overall rating |
