The Meindl Meran GTX walking boot is designed as part of the Comfort-Fit range for hikers with slightly wider feet. Boasting 300 years of skilled shoemaking, Meindl introduced the Comfort-Fit range to provide a supportive, easy fit with an enhanced natural rolling movement.
The uppers are made from Nubuck leather with wax providing a durable exterior. Paired with a GORE-TEX lining the boot is fully waterproof and protective in all conditions. The Comfort-Fit footbed is made from cork with a cushioning fleece lining and is wider at the front of the boot in both width and height. The wider base means more surface area to stand on giving more support than the standard footbed, more capacity for movement and reduced pressure.
The Meran GTX is complete with Meindl Comfort Hiker sole guaranteeing a strong grip on a variety of surfaces. Ideal for light hikes and trails.

Great comfort and stability. Waterproof. Would it have been leather instead of nubuk, it would have been five stars for me.

Love these boots, the kind I can wear straight out of the box. Also appreciate the packaging that they were in upon arrival to California from Finland. Thanks.

— Show originalNow I have been hiking in storms, pouring rain, marshland and mud. I had barely had time to put the boots on like I know you should. What I did was to impregnate them with Meindel's spray and wax. For five days my feet have been warm and dry - the rest of my body has been cold and wet. What is extra good about these boots is that I could wear my molded half-soles and my silicone spreaders around my toes as I have problems with hammertoes. Thank you wonderful boots, looking forward to many hikes 🥾
