Folding and compression-based locks for telescopic tubes are definitely more reliable than friction-based locks. The clamping force of the lock can be easily increased by tightening the shaft screw. — Show originalWe tested the poles with my wife in the Alps for a week of hiking on demanding mountain trails. The adjustments and locks worked very well and he dared to lean on the rods even in bad places and also on steep slopes going down the backpack, without fear of the telescopic locks collapsing under the load. The metal ends of the rods also held well even on rocky routes, and the neoprene handles were comfortable at altitudes of more than 2.5 km, even in cold weather at times. We are very happy with the rods and therefore dare to recommend them to others.
