Does what it says and does it well
This bag is fantastic. I am 172 cm tall. The way I use this is as following - I place a ground sheeth followed by a sleeping mat. I hang my fjellduken suspending from a low-hanging ridgeline above this. Now I can crawl into the fjellduken like a little bivy tent. I can ventilate as I please or zip it up closed to my neck. I can even crawl in the bag completely and zip it up but then I cannot stretch out, it would be for emergency only. It's better to sleep with head outside to prevent condensation. Inside the Jerven bag I sleep with a helikon tex swagman roll as an inside sleeping bag. This can also be worn as a poncho. Above this ridgeline I suspend my surplus US army poncho for extra insurance against rain and to protect my gear. If things get really bad I could wear first my Swagman roll, followed by wearing the fjellduken followed by wearing the Poncho/tarp. So all my sleeping/shelter gear is multi-purpose and can be worn as garment ! The combination is very lightweight and handle cold temperatures very well.
