Designed to support you when the Other Guy Soft Shell is too much and the Asset is not enough. The Wind Cheater utilizes a 100% NylonCordura variant called Ambush. Unlike standard cordura Ambush is brushed which allows it to breathe. Soft and quiet with a Durable Water Repellant (DWR) finish, it breathes like a T-shirt, sheds wind and dries very quickly. Not a rain proof jacket, will shed some moisture thanks to the DWR coating and will dry very quickly. Great compression, a large hood that will fit over helmets (works great with the MICH 2001) and a generous cut that does not hinder you are just a few of the Wind Cheater’s features.
Standard on the WC are the low profile loop attachment attachment points for FS Cell Tags and IFF, FS standard cuff tab and an extra large bicep pocket on each sleeve. Pit zips on each arm allow for massive air flow when desired. The Wind Cheater also has a wide range of bungee/barrel lock adjustment for the hood, collar, sleeves, and tail to block out wind when desired.
The Wind Cheater is "true to fit" t-shirt size is your jacket size. If you wear a Large shirt and don't plan to layer heavily underneath go with a Large.

Robust windshell. Not particularly light, but also not as flimsy and many other windshells. I'm 189 cm tall and ordered an XL. It's a little roomy allowing for layering. Very happy with it, but it's quite pricey for what it is.

Super jacket, best quality and material I recommend

Purchased as it is touted as “ultimate” soft shell. Material and workmanship quality is really good, albeit some construction features are not suited for serious multi weather outdoor. Neck area - cut too low, doesn’t allow to regulate amount of warm air inside/block wind ( front of neck/hood should reach over chin) Forearms - too narrow, bordering on restricted arms movement with fleece under ( there is plenty or even too much space on bofy ).. sleeves - could be few cm longer, they are ok, but again, for universal use, as outer layer over some isolation, could be longer. As mentioned, there is plenty of space on lower body area, this may be for possible intended military use, to cover protection and belt, so ok.

true to size… make sure to get your shirt size in this one, it’s not cut very big. it’s on the expensive side for what you get, since it’s neither waterproof or really windproof. overall I like it !

Thin jacket but manages to maintain heat very well. Good build and material quality.
