Lightweight and strong four-season tunnel tent with weight-saving low-profile design and remarkable space in the vestibule. A versatile tent with superior ventilation, including a new smart feature that lets you roll up the flysheet at both ends. This gives fantastic airflow and is just as practical in unpredictable Scandinavian weather as it is in warmer climates. A perfect lightweight companion when trekking, all year round, in all conditions except the most extreme. The flysheet is made from new, high-performance TripleRip nylon with an innovative construction that combines two fabric weights – the most exposed areas against the ground are reinforced with a stronger, thicker fabric while the less exposed areas are made from a lighter fabric – giving excellent strength while keeping weight low.
The flysheet and inner tent are connected so the inner tent is kept dry while pitching. Pole sleeves are on the outside and are colour coded for simplicity. They are wide enough to fit double poles (an accessory) in exposed conditions. Large, highly positioned vents give excellent airflow and all openings are covered with a fine mesh that keeps out even the smallest, barely visible insects. The openings in the flysheet can be opened or completely closed with flysheet fabric. In warm conditions the doors can be rolled up and fastened in a half-open position – the zipper has an auto-lock feature so the wind can’t force it to “creep” – for extra air circulation without rain getting to the inner tent. The inner tent door has a fine mesh and can be completely closed with a fabric door. The vestibule has plenty of room for equipment, cooking or a four-legged friend. The entrance is from the side, which means the space can be used well. The inner tent is also spacious with a clothesline and mesh pockets that are useful when you want to keep track of your gear. Just like all of Fjällräven’s tents, Abisko Shape 2 is made entirely without PVC plastic and toxic flame retardants, and its impregnation is fluorocarbon free.

Very easy to set up. Luxury accommodation for one with a wide 65cm mattress. Two can only fit on narrow mattresses. Lots of hall space, excellent ventilation openings, both a mosquito net and fabric on the inner door. I appreciate the ready-made clotheslines in the sausage and in the hall. However, a thick mattress takes up a lot of space from the height and Makkari stays low, you can sit in the doorway when you push the mattress to the side. Feels safe even in the wind.

Easy to set up by yourself, easy to take down too. Spacious for one, but two sleep comfortably. It can withstand even harsh conditions, rain and snow stay outside, and despite the wind, the tent stays upright. Tested in autumn and winter weather. The apse is comfortably spacious, it fits things well and could also be used for cooking. The fabric feels durable and a repair kit is also included just in case. I think it's worth the price.
The tent has been in use for a couple of years now. A really functional package for two people. The weight is very moderate for the price, about 2 kg. The installation is simple and there is an installation instruction video on YouTube. After a couple of times, the installation takes about 5-10 minutes. Storm winds have not been experienced, but it can withstand strong winds well. The possibility of a double arch is available if you want to stay overnight in harsher weather. includes a repair kit and spare parts for the arches. The arches are comfortably completely different colors/color-coded and the tent has clear color codes so you can find the right places. The wedges are durable and light.
The blue color is amazing.
The size is small, inside there is no sitting height for 175-180cm tall, except in the doorway of the inner tent. The apse is spacious, two people's belongings fit well under protection.

The package arrived 4 days after the order, and I was still able to do a trial assembly before the trip to Lapland. The tent was easy to put together, but the included instructions were quite short, so I looked up the assembly instructions and tips on YouTube. On the night of the test, I slept dangerously in the rain and strong wind. It rained 5mm during the night and the wind was gusting to 15m/s, but still nothing but water from condensation got inside, and even just a couple of drops. The tent could easily fit two big men and a vertical tent, but there would be no room for cooking etc. in the tent and its apse, but if staying with this group for a longer period, a bigger tent would be needed, or a satisfactory one for cooking in the open air. The tent takes only a few minutes to take down and is easy to pack. A tent in good condition in all respects, although the price is quite high. Still, I think I got my money's worth.
